Overview - A talent-led discovery series created for Channel 4 and Red Bull, designed to own the annual new music conversation at the start of the year, when audiences are actively looking for what is next. Developed as a repeatable format rather than a one-off programme, the series combined cultural credibility with a clear discovery proposition, using established artists to champion emerging acts and give the format both authority and excitement.

Hosted by Annie Mac and filmed at Red Bull Studios London, the series introduced ten emerging artists per season, each selected and endorsed by leading names including Damon Albarn, Charli XCX, Disclosure, Yannis Philippakis and Ed Sheeran.

The Format - From the outset, the series was built as a multi-platform proposition rather than a single programme. Channel 4 was the hero destination, but the content was designed to travel across All 4, Red Bull TV, artist channels and social platforms, with each piece shaped differently for its audience and platform.

Editorially and visually, each performance was treated with care and intention. We created bespoke performance setups for each artist, tailoring the staging, props, camera language and edit style to suit their identity and music. From the way bands were positioned in the studio to the rhythm of the cut and the use of effects in post, each session was designed to feel distinctive while still sitting cohesively within the wider series.
